  • Sponsored in part by the Dallas Stars and made possible in part by a grant from the Frisco Arts Foundation, Art in the Arena Frisco 2024 Festival was created to be a showcase for a large variety of fine art from local and regional artists, and provides our patrons with the opportunity to meet and talk with the artist who created the work. 

  • August 16th Kicks off this exciting weekend with a VIP Night in the Arena on Friday night with musical and live painting entertainment.  Throughout the weekend, live musical performances by Melody of Hope artists will be on the main stage.  Artists may live paint or demo in their booths and view the juried art exhibition with awards reception all inside to cool space of the Comerica-Dallas Stars Center!

  • Live Speed Painter with art raffle

  • Juired Pop-up Art Gallery - *Announcement:  Juror, Karen White, owner Oasis Accents and Chairperson of the Frisco Arts Foundation

“Inspired by Nature”

During my hikes in State and National Parks I am inspired by the beauty of color and textures that sometimes lay at my feet. I am continually amazed by the intricate details and the perfection that I see when I look at nature. They are perfect specimens of creation that inspire me to create quick intuitive marks to imply texture with alcohol ink on Yupo paper.

The 2021 Art Hop is a statewide juried art exhibit held annually at two venues in the historic downtown district of Georgetown.

Georgetown Art Works, the non-profit that manages the Georgetown Art Center, organizes all aspects of the exhibit and displays selected artworks in the gallery at the Georgetown Art Center and display space at the Georgetown Public Library.

This art competition is open to any artist 16 years or older residing in Texas and the categories of art on display are:

  • 2-D Representational

  • 2-D Abstract

  • 3-D

  • Photography

A cash prize is awarded to the overall Best of Show.

Individual awards of First, Second, and Third place are given in each category.

On October 9, 2021 a progressive reception begins at Georgetown Public Library at 2:00PM and moves to Georgetown Art Center at 3:30PM. Awards ceremony at Georgetown Art Center at 4:00PM.
